To start this week off, I continued with the images I manipulated last week. I looked back on the edits I had done, and the ones with the logos didnt have the simple, effective look I was going for. They were more clumsy and bold than I wanted. So I decided to have another go where I could combine all the techniques till I had my favourite one. I incorporated the selective bluring and the logos together to create more sophisticated designs. I found all of these were an improvement from last weeks ones. I feel like I could use all 6 of these for a variety of purposes.
My favourite one has to be the bottom left image. I love the original photo, as the idea of traveling with your bike really comes across well, and this is one of the key things about BMX which i wanted to portray to my audience. I also like how the logo is subtlely blended in to the selective blur on the opposite side to the rider. I think this composition is what helps this image work so well and becuase of this symetry, it could work well on a double page spread.
